  1. ANNOUNCEMENT

The Condobolin Auto Sports Club and Tottenham Motorcycle Club, hereafter called the Promoter will conduct an Interclub Cross Country for Senior Riders at the Mt Tilga Cross Country Track to the Tottenham Sports Grounds on the 7th and 8th August 2021.

 

  1. JURISDICTION
  • The above-mentioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling NSW Limited (MNSW), who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number TBA and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Senior Competition Licenses.
  • The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR’s) contained in the Manual of Motorcycle Sport, these Supplementary Regulations, the By-Laws of MNSW and any final instructions approved by MNSW.

BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS.

  1. ENTRIES
    • Entries open 2pm Sunday 27th June 2021 online via RiderNet
    • In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Promoter, if such retention is approved by MNSW.
    • Only entries received on RiderNet will be accepted.
    • Entries will not be refundable unless at the committee’s discretion
    • Final Entry List of riders will be available on the website yellowmountaincrosscountry.com.au
  1. INSURANCE

  • Personal Accident and Ambulance Insurance is the responsibility of the individual
  • IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE DUE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT SUCH INSURANCE COVER
  1. MEDICAL SERVICES

Beneficial First Aid will be providing the medical service on both days.

  1. ENTRY FEE
  • Entry fee of $255
  • Club Membership is required at the cost of $25 per rider
  • One Event License, if required $90 per rider
  • All entries are to be paid for on RiderNet at time of entry
  • All transponders will be supplied, riders are not permitted to use personal transponders.

  1. AWARDS AND PRIZE MONEY

 

  • Trophies are awarded for each Category, plus Outright 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
  • Finisher Trophies are awarded to competitors who complete the whole event – riders must complete BOTH days.
  1. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS

  • To constitute a Class, the number of contestants enters and competing in each class shall be a minimum of 10 riders per class
  • Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine events and re-distribute any award, will be at the discretion of the Promoter
  1. RACE FORMAT

 

  • Racing will consist of a cross country leg from Condobolin to Tottenham, approximately 240 km, with riders starting every 30 seconds with the return leg the following day travelling in the opposite direction, from Tottenham to Condobolin. Race results will be judged on time taken to complete the course. The course will be marked with arrows. Danger and warning will be RED Starting order for Day 2 will be determined from the results of Day 1.
  • Any rider seen riding the wrong direction or cutting the track can incur immediate exclusion from racing the event.
  • Cutting across Farmers green crops will not be tolerated – doing so could result in exclusion from the event.
  • Day 1 from Condobolin to Tottenham will follow BLUE

Day 2 from Tottenham to Condobolin will follow PINK arrows.

  • No drones are permitted at the Yellow Mountain Cross Country event unless approved by the committee. Support crews that are found using devices may have their rider excluded.
  1. MACHINES AND RIDERS
  • All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Enduro Competition
  • Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
  • Tear-off strips on goggles are NOT permitted.
  1. RIDING NUMBERS

 

  • The Top 10 placed riders from the previous event must ride with their position number as their bike number.
  • Preferred numbers will be allocated if possible, otherwise at the discretion of the Promoter. All numbers must be clearly visible at 20 metres, on contrasting background and a minimum of 110 mm high. Legibility of the numbers is the responsibility of the rider, and they will be checked at scrutineering. No more than three digits are permitted. No letters are allowed.
  1. GRID POSITIONS

 

  • Prologue will commence on Saturday morning at 7:00 am and results will be used to determine starting positions. Anyone that misses prologue will start the event at the back of the field.
  • Riders may be seeded at the discretion of the organisers
  1. RIDERS BRIEFING

 

  • A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of tracing at 6:30 am on Saturday morning and 7:00 am on Sunday morning. ALL competitors MUST attend. Riders’ Briefing Sign on Sheets must be signed by the competitor as confirmation of attendance.
  1. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING

 

  • By order of MNSW, random drug and/or alcohol testing of participants (i.e. officials, competitors, mechanics, pit crew and any other person associated with the control, direction and operation of the competition) may take place prior to, or at any time during this event. Refer to MA website for details on the Safety Policy – Drug and Alcohol Testing.
  1. CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

 

  • All competitors, officials, crew and parents / guardians are reminded of MA’s Codes of Behaviour contained within MA’s Member Protection Regulations, found at ma.org.au which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race events. These Codes of Behaviour apply to this event and will be enforced.
  • No pets or other animals are permitted at the event, except for guide dogs.
  1. TIMETABLE

 

  • Scrutineering and Registration will start Friday afternoon 6th August 2021 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Mt Tilga Motorcycle Ground.

Saturday Morning Rider’s Briefing will be at 6:30am sharp, with Prologue at 7:00am.

Sunday racing will commence at 8:00am

  • For the purpose of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 6:30am with the completion of the meeting for the participant being at the completion of his/her participation in the event.
  1. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

 

  • The circuit consists of natural terrain, rugged bushland and open country. It is split into three sections of approximately 80km each. The track is marked with arrows and caution signs. Fuel stops are approximately 80km out from Tottenham and 80km out from Condobolin with an 80km leg in between.
  1. STARTS

 

  • Starts will be by dropped flag every 30 seconds.
  1. RACING

 

  • Racing will be timed with the quickest riders starting first on both days.
  1. NOISE

 

  • All machines must comply with the requirements of the GCR’s and the Track License.
  1. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS

 

  • Riders are to provide 3 x 20L approved fuel containers – NO CHEMICAL DRUMS for fuel stops. Please have your name and bike number clearly marked on your fuel containers. The third fuel container you must take to the overnight stop. NO FUEL WILL BE AVAILABLE AT MT TILGA OR TOTTENHAM.
  • Fuel stop areas have a 1st gear speed restriction. DEAD ENGINE and DISMOUNT when fueling
  • Fuel containers will be transported to the fuel stops, one 80km from Condobolin and the second 80km from Tottenham on supplied fuel trucks.
  • Riders are required to push their bikes across any public roads that are crossed, with a DEAD ENGINE; these locations are also checkpoints.
  • There is UHF Radio coverage for the entire track, riders are encouraged to take a handheld UHF radio with them but must leave them turned off in backpacks.
  • The event is limited to 250 competitors and once filled no further nominations will be accepted
  • If any rider is deemed not to be able to finish the course by allocated time, it is the discretion of the Clerk of the Course to transport the rider to the finish line.
  • Riders will be required to carry at least 1L of water for rehydration; this can either be camelback of plastic sports bottle. Water will also be available at fuel stops.
  • Transport vehicle for damaged bikes are provided on both days of the event.
  • Bikes do NOT need to be registered
  • NO FUEL TO BE CARRIED ON RIDER OR IN RIDERS BACKPACKS. Refueling is to be carried out within designated fuel stops only.

 

  1. PRESENTATIONS

 

PRESENTATION WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE COMPLETION OF THE EVENT ON SUNDAY AT MT TILGA MOTORCYCLE GROUNDS.

  1. FACILITIES
  • Camping facilities are available at both Condobolin and Tottenham. Both locations are equipped with showers, firewood and canteens.
  • Canteens will run with drinks and hot food. Breakfast is available from 6:00am Saturday and Sunday.
